Some specific words used in this user's manual are defined as follows:
PC4701 system
This means an emulator system built around the PC4701 emulator. The PC4701 emulator system is
configured with an emulator main unit PC4701, emulation pod M306H3T3-RPD-E, emulator
debugger M3T-PD30 and host machine.
Emulator main unit PC4701
This means a generic name for emulators for M16C, 7700, 740 Families. Take note of the fact that
the M306H3T3-RPD-E (this product) does not support the PC4701L and PC4700L emulators. For

Emulation pod M306H3T3-RPD-E
The emulation pod M306H3T3-RPD-E (this product) is for the M16C/6H Group M306H3 MCUs.
It is used with the emulator main unit PC4701.
Emulator debugger M3T-PD30
This means a software tool for M16C/60, M16C/30, M16C/20 and M16C/10 Series MCUs. The
M3T-PD30 controls the emulator from the host machine through various interfaces.
Host machine
