1.0 Introduction

The RLCD2378 kit is a low-cost Demonstration Kit for evaluating the H8S/2378 MCU for use in quarter

VGA applications.

The kit comes with a complete software development tool chain for Renesas MCUs, including the High-

performance Embedded Workshop (HEW), which includes an Integrated Development Environment (IDE),

Graphical User Interface (GUI), the H8S-H8/300 C-compiler, assembler and linker.

Also included is the Flash Development Tool (FDT), which allows users to program the H8S/2378 flash in-

circuit. Provided with the sample projects are programming kernels to write LCD image files into the

external flash using FDT.

2.0 Contents of Product Package

This section describes the contents of the RLCD2378 product package. When unpacking your RLCD2378,

please check to see that all items listed below are included.
