5. Connect Vss and Vcc to the Vss and Vcc of the MCU, respectively.

6. The amount of voltage input to Vcc must be within the specified range of the MCU.

7. If NMI

interrupts are not used, make sure the NMI pin is pulled up to the Vcc pin through a resistor.

8. Pin 14 is used for checking the connection between the E8a and the user system, and is not directly connected to the

Vss inside the E8a. Make sure that pins 2, 6, 10, 12 and 14 are all connected to the Vss.

9. Figure 5.8 shows the interface circuit in the E8a emulator. Use this figure as a reference when determining the pull-

up resistance value.
